Underway!
Dear Neighbor,
For more than fifty years, East Rivanna Volunteer Fire Company has stood ready day and night to answer the call when our community needs help. We are your neighbors, friends, and first responders, committed to protecting lives and property in Keswick and the surrounding area.
Over the past 12 months, thanks to community support, we have made major progress:
Made significant progress on renovations to our lounge and facilities.
Purchased four new thermal imaging cameras to improve search and rescue capabilities.
Replaced outdated EMS equipment, allowing our crews to deliver faster, more effective patient care.
These improvements directly enhance the safety of both our volunteers and the citizens we serve. But maintaining that standard of readiness requires ongoing investment.
Why your support matters in 2025
Critical equipment upgrades. Firefighting and rescue technology evolves fast. Your donations help us keep our equipment and lifesaving tools up to date.
Volunteer recruitment and retention. It takes resources to bring in, train, and retain skilled volunteers ready to serve our growing community.
Replacing aging vehicles and tools. Some of our apparatus and support equipment have been in service for decades. Replacements are necessary to sustain reliable operations and quick response times.
